IST Sport (SRP: £14.95)
Mark: A decent-enough snorkel for the price – it’s comfy, easy to clear and it looks okay.Dave: A nice enough snorkel that does what you want a snorkel to do.
John: Performed okay, comfy enough and easy to clear.
Andrea: No problems with this one, not the best but certainly not the worst.
Richard: A run-of-the-mill snorkel that clears easily, it did seem to pull to the side though.
Sharon: Really easy to clear and comfortable as well, I like this one.
LoMo Cougar (SRP: £7.50)
Mark: It doesn’t seem as substantial as some of the other snorkels, but it is still a real bargain at this price.
Dave: Okay, so it’s not the best looking or the best performer, but it’s a steal at £7.50 – perfect for shoving in your dive bag.
John: It’s a compromise between a rigid and a flexible snorkel and it’s not great at either. It’s not as easy to clear as some, but for the money it’s okay.
Andrea: It does the job, if you are looking for a bargain, this is it.
Richard: It’s not the easiest to clear and it breathed a bit wet, but it’s better than some that are twice the price.
Sharon: It’s better than some of the more-expensive ones, it’s not great, but it’s okay all round.
Oceanic Response (SRP: £14.95)
Mark: The Response is a lightweight, well-made snorkel that is comfy, breathes well and clears relatively easily.
Dave: A good-enough snorkel, performed pretty well, nothing to dislike really.
John: It’s lighter than some of them and reasonably easy to clear.
Andrea: No major problems, although not the easiest to clear.
Richard: Comfortable, easy breathe with an excellent clip, it does the job.
Sharon: Trickier than some to clear, quite good on comfort. I like the release clip.
TUSA Imprex 2 (SRP: £14.99) BEST BUY
Mark: Comfy, easy to use and well-priced – Tusa are on to a winner with this one.
Dave: A reasonable price for a pretty good snorkel, it’s well made and does the job well.
John: It performed pretty well, easy to clear and comfortable.
Andrea: I like this one, it’s comfortable and easy to clear, what’s to dislike?
