As you may have noticed, we've been using a Galileo Sol for a few months now in long term test, and have racked up well over 100 dives on it in that time. Personally I found the Galileo a really straightforward computer to use, despite being initially sceptical about its size. The display is nice and clear, and the air integration is useful. The heart rate monitor is a novel toy as well. It's a great computer if you can afford the £860 asking price.

As Martin said, we've been using the Sol for several months (and I had a BETA test unit prior to that) and it is a fantastic computer. Simple to use and navigate, clear to read, infinitely adjustable and very advanced. However, the one advantage the VR3 has over it is the ability to do trimix and fully closed circuit rebreathers. If you are thinking of doing this form of diving, then the VR3 might be a better option. Trimix is something which might be coming on line with the Galileo range down the line, but I doubt you will see CCRs supported. If you are only going to be doing nitrox mixes or recreational diving, then the Sol is good bet. Mark
