Abu Nuhas at last

Posted: Wed Jul 09, 2008 7:06pm

It was a bit rough, but we finally made it to Abu Nuhas today, and dived the Giannis D - ironically the very wreck on the posters in the current issue. So I felt like already knew exactly what to expect when we descended.
The view from the stern is spectacular, as the whole rear end is leaning heavily to port, and the top stretches almost to the surface. The dive boat almost sits on top.
Move towards the bows and it's a sorry sight, with the midships strewn all over the place, before you come to the bow, which lies on its side. The experience went down well with everyone on board, made even better on the journey home as two dolphins joined us to surf the bow waves!
