Greetings from El Gouna

Well I've managed to get online, so here's the fist of what I hope can be a daily update from my dive trip out here in El Gouna. The first day has seen a quiet boat enjoy two good quality reef dives an hour or so sailing time from the marina. I had almost forgotten just how good the vis can be in the Red Sea - it's got to be a good 30m plus at least! And in the water it's a toasty 28C! Scotland two weekends ago seems a world away.
Well I'm not sure about going to the Thistlegorm, but it seems Abu Nuhas is more likely. Trips run at least every Monday, weather permitting. Last Monday was cancelled, so fingers crossed the conditions will be right this week. It's always good to get the first dive out of the way - get settled into a different routine and work out new buddies etc. It's a good start to the week!
