Well, the first Scubapro-Uwatec diving weekend of the summer has been and gone. Just two dives were cancelled, and under five layers of clothing the weather could almost be described as 'promising'.
About 100 divers came to Wittering last weekend for a variety of dives off the coast. With so much Scubapro kit to try on you might think the team huddled under their marquee might be inundated with request to road test some shiny new gear for free. Alas, that wasn't the case. It seems you have to almost force people to try something new. Maybe it's the 'free' that puts people off. What's the catch? was the general response. But it really is that easy - turn up, slip into some new gear and take it for a dive - and then hand it back. We're doing it all again in Largs in Scotland on 21/22 June, so don't be scared to give it a try!
